Atelier Poulaillon
Collaboration with Alexandre Poulaillon
The "domino" paper is printed and painted by hand, on a handmade laid rag paper.
Infinite variations of textures and colors characterize this unique craftsmanship.
This panoramic is a tribute to one of the lost traditions of the "domino", very popular in the Middle-Age till the end of the 19th Century. This form of expression was probably not sophisticated enough to endure time and spark sufficient interest to art collectors. The illustrators of these dominos, enjoyed mixing seriousness and extravagance.
Exhibited at the Salon Maison&Objet 2013 in Paris
Signed and numbered at 20 examples (size: 267x64 cm)
